2005 - 2007

In October 2005 Renaissance (Ecosse) Ltd purchased the land known as Old Malt Barns.

In August of 2006 a Listed Buildings Consent application and a Planning Permission application were lodged with the City Of Edinburgh Council, by Renaissance (Ecosse) Ltd for the alteration and extension of the existing Orocco Pier Hotel.

In December of 2006 Listed Buildings Consent was granted.

In April of 2007 Planning Permission was granted.
